Founded in 1992, Worldwide Express began selling franchises in 1995 with the simple goal of providing an unmatched level of service and competitive rates to the small to midsize business (SMB) segment of the U.S. air express and ground shipping market.
Over the years, we have represented different carrier partners but our focus has always remained our ability to sell and serve our customers through an in-person sales network supported by a nationwide team of operational experts.
In 2008, we forged a relationship with UPS®, the world's largest package delivery company, becoming a non-retail Authorized Reseller. That same year, we also entered the freight market and began offering less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping services through a select network of leading carriers.
Since 2015, we have transitioned from a franchise-based organization to a direct-operating company, providing a greater breadth of service offerings to customers as well as an increased level of control for pricing, support and customer experience. This transition has enabled us to make unparalleled investments in an industry-leading technology platform — powering the SMB shipping experience through our intuitive, consumer-grade transportation management system (TMS), SpeedShip™.
For more than two decades, the SMB market has and continues to be the fastest-growing portion of the U.S. air express and ground shipping market — and we remain the only third party logistics company capable of addressing the small package, less-than-truckload and truckload needs of this thriving audience.
